'''Table saws are typically the most dangerous tools in a work space.'''

'''DO NOT use a table saw without previous experience.''' Feel free to ask a member for help/training if you need to use a table saw and have never used one before.

'''DO NOT use for cross cuts''' use the [[Chop_Saw]]/Miter Saw for cross-cuts, The table saw is best suited for ripping pieces lengthwise
Cross cuts may be made with Cross Cut Jig

== Basic Instructions ==
Successful Milling is all about '''''Speeds'' and ''Feeds'''''

'''''Speeds''''' refers to your spindle speed in rpm. <br>
In a series of experiments performed early on in machining, it was determined that spindle speed is the biggest determiner of tool's life.<br>
Running too fast generates excess heat (there are others ways to generate heat too), which softens the tool and ultimately allows the edge to dull.

'''''Feeds''''' refers to the feedrate, in linear mm per minute.<br>
Feedrate is all about the tradeoff between maximizing the material removal rate. Material removal rate is how fast in cubic units the mill is making chips--the faster the better for most machinists, right up until it creates problems.<br>
The most common problem is tool breakage or chipping when you feed too quickly.

Simply being a noob and playing it safe by "''running the machine super slow''" is not acceptable. Must take the time to learn about feeds and speeds.<br>
examples of what can happen if machine is run too slowly:
* If you reduce your spindle speed too much relative to the feedrate, you're forcing the flutes of your cutter to take of too much material. The endmill is being pushed too fast into the cut and the chips get too big. You can easily break a cutter this way.

* If you reduce your feedrate too much relative to spindle speed, you will soon cause your cutter flutes to start "rubbing" or "burnishing" the workpiece instead of shearing or cutting chips. Many machinists will tell you the fastest way to dull a cutter is just to run it with the spindle reversed and make a pass, but having too slow a feedrate creates a similar effect. Running too slow is just as hard on spindle cutters as running too fast, if not harder.

===Wood===

'''Milling Soft Woods:''' Popular softwoods include pine, ...
*
*

'''Milling Hard Woods:''' Oak, ...
*
*

===Plastic===
''' Plexiglass Acrylic:''' Plexiglass is xxxx, readily available and can be found at local hardware stores and online.

* Brittle
* Cast Acrylic is best for routing and has paper covering
* Extruded Acrylic has plastic covering

'''Lexan Polycarbonate''' Lexan is xxx, it can sometimes be found at local hardware stores
*
*

'''Foam'''
*
*

===Circuit Boards===
'''Circuit Board Milling'''
*
*

== Advanced Operational Knowledge ==
There are some more advanced tasks that not everyone needs to know to print, but needs to know to troubleshoot:
*
*

== Warnings ==

* Keep loose hair and sleeves away from all moving parts.
* Dust control
* Avoid inhaling dusts generated from milling operations

== Safety ==

== Basic Instructions ==

This set up to work with standard PLA only, the default settings in Repetier will give good results.

Couple of things to using this type of printer

The Z axis needs to be checked each time, do this by running clicking on the little house next to Z in Repetier and then make small adjustments to the Z endstop until a slip of paper fits but can still be moved between the nozzle and BED.

But you may also need to first Level the Bed. The four outermost M3 screws are the level adjustments.
This article [https://pinshape.com/blog/6-simple-steps-to-3d-printer-bed-leveling/ Bed Leveling] will walk you through it

== Basic Instructions ==

===Wood===

'''Milling Soft Woods:''' Popular softwoods include pine, ...
*
*

'''Milling Hard Woods:''' Oak, ...
*
*

''' Plexiglass Acrylic:''' Plexiglass is xxxx, readily available and can be found at local hardware stores and online.

* Brittle
* Cast Acrylic is best for routing and has paper covering
* Extruded Acrylic has plastic covering

'''Lexan Polycarbonate''' Lexan is xxx, it can sometimes be found at local hardware stores
*
*

The Maker Station Inc, Cobb County's finest makerspace / hackerspace, is a collaborative, shared workspace (makerspace / hackerspace) northwest of Atlanta, GA. Here curious and like-minded folks come together to work on projects, discover new areas of interest, develop a new business idea, or simply grow their personal hobbies. The makerspace is a 100% volunteer driven 501c3 non-profit corporation. We are a valuable resource for Smyrna, Marietta, Kennesaw, Acworth, and surrounding metro areas. We started our journey in 2014 to build a makerspace close to home and welcome all interested community members to help grow and shape this makerspace / hackerspace into a thriving, collaborative environment.

== Advanced Operational Knowledge ==
There are some more advanced tasks that not everyone needs to know to print, but needs to know to troubleshoot:
*How to clear nozzle jams
*How to load/replace filament

== Warnings ==

* Keep loose hair and sleeves away from all moving parts.
* Print nozzle/extruder operating temperature range is 180-300°C (356-572°F).300°C
* Some printed parts may present a CHOKING HAZARD or may be SHARP; not for children under 3 years old.
I like to Make stuff, I bounce around from 3dprinting, 3d design, Arduino, Raspberry Pi, Woodworking and whatevet caught my attention that week

I built the Frankenbot out of my original 3d printer and donated it to the space
I with the help of a number of other memebers built the Root2 CNC
I occasionally teach a few classes at the Makerstation:
*Into to Fusion 360
*Getting started with the Arduino

== How to create a member page ==
'''1.'''
Request a wiki account by contacting the Board of Directors via email or slack app. Let them know your desired user name.
<br/>An email with temporary password will be sent to you.

'''2.'''
Log in to the wiki and change your temporary password. Use a strong/secure password.

'''3.'''
Click on your User Name found at the top right corner of the wiki page.

'''4.'''
The page will refresh with a blank "Create Page Option"
<br/> Create your page at your discretion. Remember that this is a wiki and all pages can be modified by anyone with an account at any time. We also want to keep it family friendly (PG13)

'''5.'''
Link your personal page back to this member page.
<br/> Add your name to the list above by clicking edit and using the existing convention:

<nowiki>* [[User:Username|Name]]</nowiki>
